    Derrek is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a BS in Construction Science. He also has a Master of Business Administration from The Bauer College of Business at The University of Houston. Prior to the recession, Derrek managed the construction of multiple projects with The Hanover Company. After the recession, he managed the construction of multiple projects for Trammell Crow Residential, and went on to develop three properties with Trammell Crow Residential.

    Doug Pyne is General Counsel for Caydon USA and manages the legal needs of the US division. Prior to joining Caydon, Doug was Corporate Counsel for Whitestone REIT, a real estate investment trust located in Houston. His previous experience includes VP - Real Estate Law for Macy’s Department Stores and Senior Real Estate Counsel for RARE Hospitality, a restaurant company. Doug has 17 years of experience as an in-house counsel representing publicly-traded companies and another 9 years in private practice at law firms.

    Emily is a significantly experienced Development Manager, responsible for overseeing all aspects of design and construction for millions of dollars of capital projects throughout Houston. She was educated at the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Construction Engineering Technology. Included in Emily’s impressive resume are several assignments for the University of Houston and the Houston Methodist Hospital System. She has previously worked on residential and boutique hotel projects and this experience will be invaluable as we move ahead with our US projects.

  • Lucas Sandidge

    Lucas is the Assistant Development Manager for Caydon’s Seattle project overseeing all elements of the development and construction process. Lucas is also involved in the acquisition analysis, permitting, and design of new development opportunities across the US. Prior to joining Caydon, Lucas served as an Army Officer and later began his career with Deloitte Consulting before joining AIG’s Commercial Mortgage Lending team where he conducted financial and market analysis across all commercial property types. Lucas has a Master’s degree in Real Estate from Georgetown University.

    Emma is responsible for the implementation of all project and corporate marketing across the USA. She is also Head of Sales for the US condominium project in Seattle and oversees the pre-leasing component for the Houston multifamily highrise. During her six years at Caydon, Emma has played an important role in 12 major projects and understands the development cycle. Her focus and discipline ensures she makes the most of the diverse opportunities available to her at Caydon.

    Elliot is a native Houstonian and a graduate of Emory University. He also has a Master of Business Administration from Rice University. Prior to joining Caydon, Elliot worked in politics in Texas, New York and Georgia. At Caydon, Elliot is responsible for overseeing all new project acquisitions as well as the development and leasing of retail spaces.

    Houston-based Tony Basile has more than 14 years’ experience building in Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Multifamily and Healthcare developments feature heavily in his career, but projects also include flood mitigation, a fire station and a police station designed to withstand hurricane-force winds and serve as League City’s Emergency Operations Centre. Tony is an energetic and enthusiastic leader and mentor, and served on a national committee developing standard operating procedures and best practices for an integrated project management system.

  • Tim Slater

    New York architect Tim Slater is a Building Information Modelling (BIM) specialist and experienced in stakeholder and small-team management. His career encompasses a broad range of roles in the design and construction of multi-family residential, commercial, transportation and urban design and development projects. Before studying architecture and urban and environmental planning, Tim was a soldier in the US army.
