The Malt District

Cremorne, AUS
About

An historical, industrial location for people who want to live, work, visit and be inspired by Melbourne’s newest creative heart.

The Malt District will become a vibrant and viable mixed-use precinct that will make a positive impact on the area and create a 21st century landmark. The $1 billion development is to include the famous Nylex clock blending the old and the new.

Location

Cremorne is the little known suburb that appears as the southern pocket of Richmond bordered by the Yarra River and Punt Rd. From Cremorne you can easily walk through parkland to Downtown, wander up to the Swan St cafes and bars, take a bike ride along the river, saunter over to watch the cricket, the Australian Rules Football or even the Australian Open Tennis. It would be hard to find a location that puts you so firmly in Melbourne and everything that matters to the city.

Vision

Working with renowned architects, Fender Katsalidis and Oculus landscape architects, Caydon have designed Melbourne’s newest inspired destination. Combining modern residences, generous public spaces, boutique work spaces and retail, much of which will be built sensitively into the old buildings, giving them a new lease on life and enduring relevance to everyone in Melbourne.

Community

Caydon are committed to ensuring the Cremorne Nylex Precinct will be a destination of choice with modern residences, generous public open space, boutique offices and retail – all designed to sensitively complement existing buildings.
